The ever-obliging naturalists and drivers take you deep into the forests often on game roads infrequently used. The naturalist will interpret for you the sights and sounds of the forest and make the forests come alive more so for the first timers. Treks into the forest (normally not permitted in most National Parks in the country) is the other activity and the duration and physical demand will depend on the enthusiasm and fitness of the group. These treks are a more intimate way of experiencing the forests and afford the opportunity of observing insects, butterflies and birds often missed during jeep safaris
